It's discovering wellness

It's finding wholeness, meaning, and purpose
A love for life
Recovery is a journey
A reconnection to self, others, nature, and Spirit
A willingness to forgive,
an openness toward reconciliation
A search for peace
Recovery requires discipline - listening, learning, and growth
An appreciation for the lessons of passion, and suffering
A love for humor
It takes faith - perseverance, and strengh
Without guarantee, without certainty
Recovery is not for the faint of heart
It's reserved for the fighter
The one who refuses to say "die" - Until the spirit has truly lived

With magnificent pattern
Brilliant craftsmanship
Crystal perfection
With worth that transcends all understanding
You were released from the heavens
By an artist
In a flurry you descend
Through the clouds
Swayed with enormous force
You spiral across the sky
Born to gleam
With genius in your blueprint
A snowflake
Sent to impact the earth
To crest a mountain
For all to observe
Or, to land softly on the cheek
Of one who sleeps
And awaken them to the wonders
Of the source of your being….
With a heavenly kiss
‘Forgiveness’
To have been like a child
On so many occasions
Too many to mention
To have valued a friendship
More than self-righteousness
The tongue that was too sharp
The words that were too bitter
The temper that was too quick
The rage that was too poisonous
The time that was lost
The growth that was stifled
The body that was wounded
The spirit that was weakened
When it needed to be set free
Forgiveness
Ours to ask for
Ours to receive
Too often, I did not ask
I did not receive
As soon as I might have
Had I been a child
The pain
Ours to let go of
The journey
To move forward
To once again embrace
And to cherish
“Forgive”
A direct order from God
A difficult act
Not easy
But hardly complex
Simple in fact
The action of a child
“It’s ok”
“Let’s play”
Call on Love -
To find solace
For faith Love will listen
Call on Love -
For reprieve from pain
To trust through suffering
Call on Love -
To make peace with the past
For courage to reconcile
Call on Love -
For hope in tomorrow
To find comfort in this place and time
Call on Love -
For no other reason
Than Love calls us
To Love
‘Be at Peace’
I felt hurt
You never said you were sorry
For the things you said
The things you did
I waited
But, I never heard from you
I wrote a letter
This morning
From a place of deep pain
I held nothing back
Then, I took a walk
And thought about you
I walked some more
When I got back home
I read the letter
And, started to send it
Until I thought about some of the things I had said
Some of the things I had done
And, realized I had not been perfect
I had fallen short
With you
With others as well
Along the way
Throughout my life
And, I wanted to be forgiven
So, I asked the Spirit
And then, surrendered
To forgiveness
I accepted the Spirit’s gift
I let go of the pain
And, set you free
I feel at peace now
And, finished the letter
I hope you’ll read it -
Please forgive me
I forgive you
Be at peace
