Whole Health System Transformation Meetings
In December 2008, DMHDDAD won a Transformation Transfer Initiative award
from the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors
(NASMHPD). In partnership with the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network,
and Appalachian Consulting Group, DMHDDAD proposed and is in the process of
implementing a Peer Support Whole Health (PSWH) Initiative. The purpose of
this meeting is to discuss the Peer Support Whole Health Initiative and
Georgia's response to the national trend toward integrated behavioral and
general healthcare.
Suggested participants include Executive Directors, Medical Directors,
Clinical Directors, Nurses, Peer Support Program Directors, Certified Peer
Specialists, Residential Services Directors, and others who are interested
in learning more about Georgia's response to integrated behavioral and
general healthcare and supporting adult mental health consumers in achieving
whole health, wellness and recovery.
