Voucher Travel Assistance Program Wants You
The goal of the Voucher Travel Assistance Program is to increase transportation options by filling in the gaps of existing transportation and informing consumers on developing other transportation options.
The Voucher Travel Assistance Program will provide to those who are eligible $150.00 worth of vouchers per quarter (every 3 months) to pay $.30 per mile transportation cost.
The Voucher Travel Assistance Program is for people with disabilities who transitioned into the community from nursing homes, institutions, those seeking employment and those who are facing challenging transportation options in their community; such as not being able to attend religious services and social activities,
Other eligibility requirements are:
· must have a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
· have low income, must show proof of household income
· must live in the following counties: Fulton, Dekalb, Gwinnett, Clayton, Paulding, Bartow, Cherokee and Douglas counties
